Reading in role!

Today we have been learning how to add expression to our reading. Working with our partners, we took on the roles of Mr and Mrs Twit and read aloud their speech taking into account their feelings in the chapter. We had some great ideas and used our voices creatively!  

Guided reading

Class 3 have been practising applying their phonics knowledge during a guided reading session. The children enjoyed predicting what might happen in the story and reading Handa’s Surprise. The children showed great perseverence and cooperation throughout the session.

Africa Homework

Over half term, the children in Class 4 were asked to research Africa and to produce a piece of homework that showed what they had learned. Take a look at the some of the fantastic things the children brought in this week.  Holly and Scarlett even worked collaboratively on theirs!
