One more

In maths, we have been exploring one more with numbers to 5. We made one more stories “first I had 2 counters, then 1 joined, now I have 3 counters”. We made one more stories using different objects in our classroom, for example, animals, cars and dinosaurs.

Children in Need

Class 2 have taken part in Children in Need by dressing up in Yellow clothes and wearing spots! The children have taken part in lots of different Pudsey activities today from colouring Pudsey in to painting spots on Pudsey’s bandana.

Festivals of Light 🎆

The children have been learning all about Diwali; the festival of light.  They listened to the story of Rama and Sita and made diya lamps from clay and sequins, decorated mehndi patterns and rangoli patterns using coloured sand. Remembrance Day

This week in Reception we have been learning about Remembrance Day. The children have been busy making poppies using lots of different media and on Monday we will observe 2 minutes silence.


In Reception, we have been exploring Diwali. We enjoyed learning all about the festival and looking at how people celebrate. We made some amazing Rangoli patterns and Mehndi patterns.

2D Shapes

In class 2, we have been busy learning all about 2D shapes. We learnt all about 4 different 2D shapes: Circle, Triangle, Square and Rectangle. We learnt their names and described the shapes characteristics.

Making Hedgehogs. 🦔

In Reception we have been looking at the seasons and what happens in Autumn. We have talked about animals hibernating so some of the children brought boxes in to make hedgehog homes and in the Creative Area we have been making clay hedgehogs. I
