Today, Class 10 turned into world class scientists by carrying out their first investigation within their working scientifically topic.
Our investigation focus was ‘Which material is the best insulator?’. We filled 3 cups with coffee and wrapped each cup in a different material – fur, bubble wrap and cloth. Then, using a thermometer, we measured how much the temperature of the coffee decreased every 3 minutes for 15 minutes and recorded our results on a table.
Interestingly, our results showed that fur was the best insultator! Later on this week, we will be analysing our results by drawing line graphs and writing up our conclusion and investigation evaluations.
