As part of our ‘Super Scientists’ learning journey, Class 5 have been investigating their senses. We had to try and work out what we could feel, smell and taste whilst blindfolded.

The children in Class 6 have been busy making slider pictures as part of their design and technology learning journey. They designed their own superhero faces and made moving eyes using a simple slider mechanism.

On Friday Year 2 had a fantastic day out at Skipton Castle. We enjoyed exploring the castle with our guides and were able to answer lots of questions using what we had learned in class.

In English we have been exploring the text ‘The Paper Bag Princess.’ Today we wrote some fantastic newspaper reports describing the dragon’s attack on the castle. We used lots of adjectives for description and included new vocabulary we have learned.
As part of our new Science learning journey ‘Working Scientifically’ Class 5 carried out an investigation using Skittles. As part of our Super Scientists topic Class 5 have been investigating light. We learned about Issac Newton and the discovery he made about light. We used torches and prisms to explore how we can see the different colours of light as a rainbow.
