As part of our science learning journey about materials, Class 5 have been investigating which materials we can change the shape of. We tested a range of materials such as wood, rubber, plasticine and stone to see if we could twist, squash, bend or stretch them.
In class 6, we have been exploring everyday materials in Science. the children loved sorting their materials into natural and man made and could give excellent reasons for why they had sorted each material into which category. They are becoming super scientists! Here are the finished results…

We started our new topic this week in Science ‘identifying plants.’ The children enjoyed looking at exploring plants in our outside area, then we planted our own seed and predicted what it will look like in a few weeks time. Stay posted to find out how it grows!
In Class 12 today, we got pretty messy creating 8 model versions of the planets in the solar system. We had to work as a team and each take a role in covering the balloons in newspaper. First layer finished, watch this space to see the finish products.
