In Class 7 we have been reading Stone Age Boy. We have looked at the important parts of the story and written an alternative narrative from the point of Om (a Stone Age girl) in the past tense using paragraphs and ambitious describing words!
In RHE we took on a tangram challenge to work on our teamwork and cooperation skills. We used this challenge to talk about what makes group work successful.
In Science our first topic is Light and Shadow. In our second lesson we talked about the difference between light and dark. Then we looked at two pictures of Manchester in light and dark and wrote about what was the same and what was different to show our understanding.
In Class 7 we have been enjoying Roald Dahl’s George’s Marvellous Medicine. We made a story box of all the ingredients and even designed our own medicine!
In class 7 we made woolly mammoths following instructions we had written in English. We have been using our bossy verbs to help us!
In class 7 we have been designing and making a shadow puppet in Design and Technology. We looked at how shadows work, which we have also been thinking about in Science. We then made a prototype before designing, making and evaluating our puppets.
