The best way to understand rocks is to see them in person! So in today’s science lesson, we looked at a wide variety of rocks, from igneous, to sedimentary, to metamorphic. We attempted to group them in different t ways, coming up with these examples:
- hard/soft
- sharp/smooth
- rough/smooth
- one colour/more than one colour
We then moved on to fossils, looking at lots of replica fossils and even several real ones. In order to focus on their details, we sketched them into our science books. Have a look:
