Today, the children in class 4 have been partitioning two-digit numbers into tens and ones. They looked closely at the digits and worked out their value so they could correctly make the number from the base-10 equipment. Filip even challenged himself by partitioning 100.
Class 6 are have been thinking about working cooperatively. After thinking carefully about what cooperative learning looks like, they had to work cooperatively with their partner to make the tallest tower they could with marshmallows and sticks of dried spaghetti. Every Friday in Class 8 we have an arithmetic test. We always try to beat our previous score. This week we had our best results yet, it just goes to show that hard work and perseverance pays off! Well done Class 8!
Class 3 have been studying The Three Little Pigs. Yesterday we played a game of what time is it Mr Wolf. The Children found this challenging at first but with perseverance they were able to make o’clock. The children then challenged themselves to make half past the hour.
Today in Maths Class 8 were set a challenge.They needed to discover the value of each rod from 1 to 10. The children persevered and co-operated to complete the challenge.
Today the children in Reception worked together to make numbers up to 15 in different ways using a variety of equipment. They persevered and managed to explain all the different combinations they had learnt using mathematical language. Then they found the correct digit and some children put them in order!
