Class 5 have been getting to grips with sewing in preparation for creating our puppets. We learned how to thread a needle and create a simple running stitch. It was tricky at first but with perseverance we got there!
Today we used the Cuisenaire rods to investigate fractions. Mrs Savage asked us to find out which colour rod would be worth 1/2 if the red rod was a whole. We used our knowledge of equivalent fractions to help us to solve this and many other fraction problems.

It’s Day 2 of Year 6’s Robinwood visit, and Valley Group have been bouldering. The conditions were cold but everyone showed excellent resilience and courage throughout, navigating their way around a tricky course.
