On Friday afternoon Class 13 had a training session with coaches from Rochdale Hornets. They practiced passing the ball and worked together as teams.

Early on Monday morning, we joined class 4 and Miss McGregor in the hall to workout live with Joe Wicks, also known as the body coach. It involved getting our heart rate going doing press ups, jogs and jumps. We even got a shoutout from the man himself. Read more…

Year 6 enjoyed their first rugby coaching session on Friday. Every week the Rochdale Hornets coaches will come in to teach the boys and girls of Year 6 the rules and skills of rugby.

World Cup fever has swept throughout Harwood Park like wildfire this week ahead of England’s semi-final match against Croatia tonight… The consensus is that England will win and that football most definitely IS coming home. Fingers crossed.

Class 8 had an amazing time at Sports Day, taking part in a range of different activities including an inflatable obstacle course and a space hopper race. Well done to everyone for your efforts and thank you to all of our friends and supporters who came to watch us.

Parents VS Teachers Netball
Yesterday afternoon, parents met teachers for a friendly (yet slightly competitive) netball match! The game was extremely close all the way through and both teams gave their competitors a run for their money! The end result saw the teachers victorious at 6 goals to 5! We would like to thank all the staff and all our wonderful parents for getting involved, it was so much fun!!
Next Friends of Harwood Park event will take place next Friday 29th June. It is our Summer Fayre. There will lots going on including a raffle full of exciting prizes, games, food and drink, face paint, festival glitter, to bolts and much more. Come and join us at 4pm on the playground for what we hope will be a fun afternoon! (more…)
