In the science unit Seeing Light, Class 14 investigated the question: What colour is light? They shone a torch onto a shadow and watched how the ray of light refracted and split into the 7 colours of the spectrum.
Our DT unit this term has been designing and making party food. The children worked hard baking cupcakes, mince pies, gingerbread biscuits and chocolate chip cookies. On 22nd November the Year 5 and 6 Science Ambassadors attended a meeting at Hopwood Primary School. They worked with Ambassadors from other primary schools to complete investigations working towards achieving the Crest All Superstar Challenge. They had a great afternoon and showing all four of the core values!

At Robin Wood, the children worked as a team to help each other on the climbing wall. They were able to attempt to climb two courses and try to squeeze the duck at the top.
On the last morning of Robin Wood, the children had the chance to fly through the air on the zip wire!
Night Line is an activity where the children have to use their senses and communication to complete an obstacle course. Before they set off the children have to put on a blindfold, then help each other around the course. Watch out! There may be squirrels about!
Even though it was cold, the children were brave and had a go at canoeing. They learnt how to use the oars and had fun playing games.
During their science lesson, Class 14 had to investigate how to make a bulb brighter. They had fun making circuits and investigating.
