African drums

This week we have finished off our Africa topic by designing and painting African drums. We have practised mixing warm colours and painting them carefully by looking at examples for our inspiration of African patterns.

Wildcats!

  Today some of the girls in KS1 enjoyed a girls football taster session with Leigh-Anne who runs an all girls football club called Wildcats. They really enjoyed a taste of some of the skills they might learn at the club. Class 9’s latest Language and Communication lesson was tied to our learning in Beliefs and Values. Specifically, the character value of forgiveness. Forces Assembly!

Class 11 displayed their knowledge and learning of forces in our class assembly. Children worked hard to learn their lines and acting parts to describe and demonstrate forces. We also sang to ‘Defying Gravity’ from Wicked whilst a movie trailer played for the audience of our forces trip. We hope all staff, pupils and family members enjoyed it!
