Good morning Year 6! We hope you are keeping positive and busy at home 🙂
The activities planned for today are as follows:
English
- Read your reading book for at least 20 minutes today. Find somewhere quiet and comfortable if you can and take the time to relax and enjoy your book.
- English Task – Non-chronological report
Write a title and introduction for your non-chronological report about your animal from yesterday. Try to include a rhetorical question such as ‘Would you like to learn about an exciting animal from the Amazon Rainforest?’ and expanded noun phrases (adjectives) to add further detail to your introduction. An introduction introduces what the report will be about.
Maths
- Arithmetic Test Summer 5
- Time yourself for 30 minutes and see how many questions you can do. Ask an adult or mark your test yourself using the answers in your pack. How many did you answer correctly?
Extra activity
- Ask an adult if you can help with some jobs around the house for example: washing up, hoovering, tidying your room or making some lunch. I’m sure your adults will appreciate your help and you will learn some important life skills as well!
