Good morning Year 6! Have a look at your Home Learning Packs for today’s tasks. We hope you have managed to find them helpful and exciting.

Here is a reminder of today’s tasks:

Reading book – 15 minutes

English Comprehension Task (The Anne Frank Exhibition)

Read the non-fiction text and answer the questions on the back of the worksheet.

Power Maths page 48 – 50 Problem Solving – Negative numbers

These pages of Book C will recap your prior knowledge of positive and negative numbers. Use the number lines to help you and remember that -5 is larger than -20.

Here’s some more guidance for today’s task:

Complete Arithmetic Test 5

See how many questions you can correctly answer in 30 minutes.

The answers are at the back of the pack when you have finished to see your score and whether you can improve it later on in the week.

Science Topic – Healthy Bodies

Look at the back of your Home Learning Pack for your Science worksheets. Today’s lesson is learning about food groups such as carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Read the information sheet and answer the questions on the back to show your knowledge.

We have set tasks to revise previous learning but if you have forgotten anything please just try your best!

Other ideas to keep busy:

  •  Plan a treasure hunt for a younger sibling using sweets or fruit. Write them a clue and see if they can find the treasure.
  • Collect some rocks from your garden or on your next walk. Paint them with a rainbow or uplifting message to leave outside your house.
