Class 14 completed different exercises during a circuit training session. They also practiced their shooting skills for their next netball lesson. They finished the PE lesson with a competitive game of dodgeball.

Year 6 started our Geography topic about North America. We shared our prior knowledge of this continent and then used maps to find countries in North America. We also used our map reading skills to find capital cities, oceans and any other interesting facts.
Class 11 have been working excellently on subtraction of fractions. This process involves many steps: identifying improper fractions and mixed numbers, converting between the two, exchanging and simplifying whilst subtracting. In Class 11’s final Forces lesson we explored the mechanism and uses of gears. We then created our own gears and explored how the different sizes of the gears effects the number of revolutions.
This afternoon, class 12 got all crafty and made some excellent pop up Christmas cards! It’s beginning to feel a lot more Christmassy in Year 5!
