Class 11 completed their ‘Hour of Code’ yesterday, using a variety of programs to develop their coding skills.
Class 11 took part in the PLT-organised Reindeer Run yesterday. Raising money for Springhill Hospice, the children ran laps of the playground wearing festive antlers.
Class 11 have recently learnt to identify different parts of the body (parties du corps) in French. They practiced verbalising these body parts and writing them on annotated drawings.
Class 11 have been combining a topic on Forces with a unit of Working Scientifically. We have been exploring the mechanisms behind pulleys, levers and gears. Class 11 have been completing a 5 minute mindfulness task after lunch each day. This has been designed to settle the class after the break and ready them for their afternoon lessons. Here are a handful of pictures of some of the children completing one such task.

This morning, we used Spelling Frame as part of our spelling week to practise words with silent letters. Everyone loved using the app to practise spellings and forgot they were actually doing work because it was so much fun.

Class 11 have completed their Power Maths unit on multiplication and division. This unit of work included using both operations, inverse operations, square numbers and cubed numbers. Here the class are using cubes to help them identify cubed numbers.
