World Book Day

Class 9 celebrated World Book Day this week! Children were dressed up as a word such as creative, athletic and magical. We looked at an alternative version of the three little pigs story from the point of view of the wolf. We did some drama to prove the wolf’s innocence and watch a video of his version of events. Being a good friend

In RHE, My Happy Mind and Think Equal this week, we have been talking about what makes a good friend. We made a friendship potion together, sprinkling in some love, kindness, sharing, helping and listening. We took our potion making outside to the mud kitchen and worked as a team to make them. We have also used our fine motor skills to make friendship bracelets, thank you cards and friendship chains!

World Book Day

Today we celebrated World Book Day. We dressed up as words and then explored the Mr Men series of books by Roger Hargreaves. After reading a couple of stories including Mr Bump and Mr Grumpy, we designed our own Mr Men characters and wrote stories about them.

Roman Deities

In history we have been learning all about the ancient Romans. In todays lesson, we learnt about all the different gods and goddesses they worshipped. We had fun matching their descriptions to their pictures. Lots of fun stories and ideas!

Artefacts from Grace

Grace in class 9 has brought lots of artefacts into class including Roman coins, Roman dice, bullets from WW1 and a lead toy aeroplane. Our class loved looking at the items and discussing how and when they were used.

The Fairy of Enchanted Wood!

In English, We looked at the Enchanted woods in our text ‘ The girl and the Dinosaur’, where there were fairies, giants and unicorns. A beautiful fairy garden appeared in class. The fairy was called Dax. The children described the fairy garden, designed and created their own fairies and fairy doors. We wrote letters and cards to Dax and produced some wonderful writing!
