  • Complete the ‘Clouds’ reading comprehension sheet from your home learning pack. This should take around 20-30 minutes.
  • Spelling practise – complete the ‘Challenge Yourself’ section of the spelling worksheet. This is the same sheet that you used on Monday and Wednesday about French words in English.

RE

  • Complete the comprehension worksheet about the Humanist logo. What does it represent? Do you think it is a successful representation of humanist thought?

Other things you may want to do:

  • If you have access, go on Bitesize and see what lessons are on offer for Year 6 today. Choose something you’d like to learn and take part in the lesson.
  • Have a game of ‘Exquisite Corpse’. Adults in your house may remember this from when they were a child.
You will need a piece of paper, and a pencil and someone to play with. The first person secretly draws the first part of a character (the head) and folds the paper over so that the next person can’t see it. The next person draws the next part of a character, which is the body and arms (they won’t know what has already been drawn). They then fold the paper and pass to the next person without them seeing. Repeat this process for the lower body and legs and you will end up with a very funny character at the end.
You will end up producing something like this:

Online Safety

Ask your child what they remember about Episode 1 of Play Like Share.here if needed.
 Ask your child:
o Who wrote a mean comment about Alfie? [the Popcorn Wizards]
o Who ‘liked’ the comment? [Sam]
o Why wasn’t this a kind thing to do? [It might upset Alfie. Sam is
meant to be Alfie’s friend]
 Explain when we write or post something online, we must always think
about how we might make other people feel.
 What positive words could Ellie, Alfie and Sam use to describe each other?

If you have any questions or want to let us know what you’ve been up to, comment below or ask an adult to email your class teacher. We have loved hearing what you’re getting up to at home.
