  • Find somewhere quiet and comfortable and read your reading book or something of your choice for at least 15 minutes.

The sheet has instructions but if you require more information, follow this link to BBC Bitesize for help.
  • Spelling Practise – -ate and -ite suffixes. There are instructions on the sheet for how to use each suffix and when. Complete the Warm up section of the worksheet today.

Maths

  • Power Maths – Simplifying Fractions worksheet from home learning packs. Remember to use the advice sheet in your packs. If you need more help with simplifying fractions, check out the BBC Bitesize link for instructions, games and videos relating to simplying fractions.

Mindfulness Tasks

This week, we have  decided to focus on Mindfulness. You may do the mindfulness activities we have set in any order. Mindfulness is not prescriptive – do whichever activities you feel will help you find calm. The time we have at the moment is a good opportunity to find an activity you can use in future for calm and quiet time. Mine is definitely reading! Let us know if you have any tips for us in the comments below.

If you’d like to follow the order we have set on the timetable, we set the ’10 what questions’ worksheet for today. This will help you focus on yourself and help you think about developing your growth mindset. Class Dojo also has some amazing videos focusing on growth mindset and why it’s so important. You can watch those here: https://ideas.classdojo.com/b/growth-mindset

Please do let us know how you’re getting on at home, either in the comments below or by asking a parent to email your class teacher. We have loved hearing and seeing what those of you who have been in contact have been up to.
