Good morning everyone,

It’s Hump Day! We are half way through the week and a step closer to the weekend. Please see below for today’s tasks and something extra to keep you busy:

Daily exercise

Make sure you get some exercise in every day. This could be going for a walk, a bike ride, an assault course in your garden or a workout video from YouTube. There are lots of good videos on YouTube, click here to find another video I have enjoyed. This time it is Kidz Bop Dance Along. Dancing is a really good way to keep fit and it’s fun too!

Maths

Your Power Maths pages today are 95-97 which are all about equivalent lengths – centimetres to millimetres. Look through your discover, share and think together pages first as this will help with your understanding.

English

‘Sunflower Plant Lifecycle’ comprehension – read the text carefully, stopping to check any unfamiliar words then answers the questions.

Mad Maths Minutes Fluency

Today is identifying the value of underlined digit There are quite a lot to get through but try to complete as many as you can.

RE

This week, we have set you an RE project to design your own religious place of worship. At school we have looked at Christianity and Islam together and we would have continued onto Judaism and Hinduism.

After your practise piece yesterday, draw your final piece today. Start with the outline of your place of worship and then add the key features inside. Use a ruler to make sure your drawing is neat. Focus on drawing today and save the colouring and labelling for tomorrow.

Extra activities

If you had the chance, we hope you had fun dressing up as one of your favourite story book characters. Thank you to those who sent pictures in!

  • Retelling one of your favourite stories – this is a fun drama activity where everyone at home can get involved. Bring your book to life by getting into character, gathering props and whatever else you need to retell your story. If you are able to, you could record your drama and edit it to make it look like a film. Again, feel free to send us your finish product using the email addresses below.

Don’t forget, if you have anything you want to share and ask please comment below or email your class teacher:

Enjoy your day and remember to check the blog tomorrow,
