Happy Tuesday Year 3!

I hope your Monday was awesome! Today is a brand new day with more fun activities. As always, please see below for your tasks today plus some extras to keep you busy:

  1. Joe Wick’s at 9am on his YouTube channel OR, if you’re too tired out because I know how hard he makes you work, why not try some Cosmic Yoga? Here is a Minecraft one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02E1468SdHg
  2. READING, READING, READING! (15 minutes)
  3.  Maths Task 7 – 5 arithmetic questions and 5 reasoning questions – Click here for today’s arithmetic questions Click here for today’s reasoning questions
  4. Sight and Sound description – Photo 3 – describe the picture in as much details as you can. Remember to use ambitious vocabulary. You could use the internet to find synonyms.
  5. Arithmetic Test – one minute per question.
  6. After planning your Geography project yesterday, you should be ready to start making. Take your time!
  7. Finish the day with some handwriting in your handwriting book. Practise joining letters together in short words. Can you think of words which have tall, small and long letters? (20 minutes)

Other activities to keep you busy today:

  • As this will be a historical event in years to come, create a time capsule by writing a note all about you and drawing a picture of your family as it is now. If possible, take some pictures of the day to print off and put in and include newspaper cut outs too. Put all these bits into a scrapbook or box and store it away for you to find in the future. • Make a band from kitchen pots and pans – make sure you ask you live with first though!
  • Have a look through your recycling bin and make a junk model. You could make a robot, rocket, castle or a house.

Hello Miss Wolf,

I have been staying busy at home completing the tasks you have set each day .

It has been fun to complete the work with my mummy too.

My mummy has said she has enjoyed learning each day with me and is learning something new every day.

We have been clapping for all the key workers on Thursday at 8pm. Did you too? It was very loud where we live and some people were using pans last night!

I am missing seeing my friends and family but mummy has said it is very important to stay safe.

    Hi Gracie,

I’m glad you and your mum are enjoying spending time together. It’s not very often you get to learn with your family members so keep treasuring this time together.

I have been clapping too. Most of my street were out last night and I saw fireworks! I hope it keeps happening every Thursday – I really enjoy it!

I’m sure your friends and family are missing you too but your mum is right, stay indoors and look after each other.

Have a rest over the Easter holidays and check out the class blog for a nice Easter project I have set.

    Stay safe,
    Miss Wolf 🙂
