Good morning everyone,

As we celebrated VE Day on Friday and posted Friday’s work yesterday, we are a day behind. This means that today’s work is Monday’s work on your timetable. Hope this makes sense! Please find today’s activities below and something extra to keep you busy:

Daily exercise

Make sure you get some exercise in every day. This could be going for a walk, a bike ride, an assault course in your garden or a workout video from YouTube. There are lots of good videos on YouTube, click here to find another video I have enjoyed.

Maths

Your Power Maths pages today are 119-121 which is your end of unit check on length. Complete the my journal sections and then the power puzzle. If you really want to challenge yourself, complete the little test we do in class  by looking at the questions from the textbook below:

English

‘Book Review’ worksheet – what is your favourite book? Review it using questions on the sheet. Sometimes people use reviews to help them decide on if they want to read a book or not. Make sure your review gets your opinion over to the reader clearly.

Fluency

Complete the 4x table multiplication wheel. Multiply each outside number by 4 and write it in the space. You can colour these in if you finish quickly.

RHE

This week, your afternoon work will focus on a new RHE topic – Money Matters. Your activity today is to create your own job advertisement for a job of your choice. Think carefully about what person would want that job, what skills they would need and what interests they might have.

For example:

A job advertisement for a nurse would be good for a person who enjoys looking after and caring for people. To be a nurse you need to be compassionate, reassuring, calm, kind and dedicated. There are lots of different areas of nursing e.g. adult or child nursing so I would want to make sure my job advertisement shows this.

Extra activities
