Good morning everyone,

Happy Thursday! We hope you are enjoying this week’s learning and are not too disappointed about the raining weather. Please see below for today’s tasks and something extra to keep you busy:

Daily exercise

Make sure you get some exercise in every day. This could be going for a walk, a bike ride, an assault course in your garden or a workout video from YouTube. There are lots of good videos on YouTube, click here to find another video I have enjoyed. This one has some cool guests during the warm up – can you see who they are?

Maths

Your Power Maths pages today are 98-100 which are all about comparing lengths. Look through your discover, share and think together pages first as this will help with your understanding.

English

‘Inverted commas’ worksheet– this sheet is double sided and tells you all about the skill needed to complete the activity. Make sure you read through it carefully. Remember, inverted commas are just answer name for speech marks.

Fluency

Today you need to complete your Summer 4 Arithmetic Test. Don’t forget, 1 minute per question and use a space piece of paper (or the spare space on your sheet) to do any working out.

RE

This week, we have set you an RE project to design your own religious place of worship. At school we have looked at Christianity and Islam together and we would have continued onto Judaism and Hinduism.

Today you need to label all the key features in your place of worship. Make sure you haven’t missed anything important because you will need to add it in. Once you have done this, you can colour in your picture.

Extra activities

This week is Children’s Book Week so we are going to try and keep all your extra activities book themed. If you had the chance, we hope enjoyed retelling your favourite stories yesterday using your acting skills.

  • Get creative today by drawing your favourite characters from different books, creating your own personalised bookmarks or even designing (or redesigning) your own book covers. Get out the paints, crayons and glitter, and have some fun! Click here for printable bookmark templates 🙂

Don’t forget, if you have anything you want to share and ask please comment below or email your class teacher:

Enjoy your day and remember to check the blog tomorrow,
