Good morning everyone,

We hope you enjoyed your weekend in the sun and are ready for some more home learning this week. Please see below for your daily activities and something extra to keep you busy 🙂

Daily exercise

Make sure you get some exercise in every day. This could be going for a walk, a bike ride, an assault course in your garden or a workout video from YouTube. There are lots of good videos on YouTube, click here to find one I have enjoyed and it isn’t to difficult.

Maths

Your Power Maths pages today are 89-91 which are all about measuring length. Look through your discover, share and think together pages first as this will help with your understanding.

English

‘I can with an ‘An’ worksheet – this sheet is double sided and tells you all about the skill needed to complete the activity. Make sure you read through it carefully.

Mad Maths Minutes Fluency

Today it is 3-digit partitioning. There are quite a lot to get through but try to complete as many as you can.

RE

This week, we have set you an RE project to design your own religious place of worship. At school we have looked at Christianity and Islam together and we would have continued onto Judaism and Hinduism.

Today, it might be a good idea to do some research into one religion and find out about their place of worship. Make some notes and/or print off some pictures if you can ready for tomorrow.

Extra activities

This week is Children’s Book Week so we are going to try and keep all your extra activities book themed. There are lots of websites offering free eBooks during your time learning from home so if you have access to a tablet or computer, explore the links below and find brand new books for FREE:

Oxford Reading Tree allows you to pick your book band from school e.g. gold and find books which are the best fit for you.

Storyline Online features famous celebrities reading books for you. You can get cosy and listen!

International Children’s Digital Library allows you to explore stories from different cultures. You can explore the different continents and see what interesting stories you can find.

Create a cosy ‘book nook’ – turn a corner of your bedroom (or the garden if you’re allowed) into an area where you can relax and enjoy a book. The more cushions…the better!

Don’t forget, if you have anything you want to share and ask please comment below or email your class teacher:

class7@harwoodpark.rochdale.sch.uk

class8@harwoodpark.rochdale.sch.uk

Enjoy your day and remember to check the blog tomorrow,

Miss Wolf and Miss Gibson 😀
