Good morning everyone,

It’s Friday! We’ve come to the end of week 4 of your home learning and we are hopefully a little nearer to returning to reality. We can’t wait to see you all again. Please see below for today’s tasks and something extra to keep you busy:

Daily exercise

Make sure you get some exercise in every day. This could be going for a walk, a bike ride, an assault course in your garden or a workout video from YouTube. There are lots of good videos on YouTube, click here to find another video I have enjoyed. This workout shows you have to move like an avenger…and it’s only 5 minutes!

Maths

Your Power Maths pages today are 101-103 which are all about adding lengths. Look through your discover, share and think together pages first as this will help with your understanding.

English

‘Sorting sentences’ worksheet– this sheet is double sided and tells you all about the skill needed to complete the activity.

Mad Maths Minutes Fluency

Today it is adding two 2-digit numbers. Try to complete these mentally but use column method if you’re struggling. There are quite a lot to get through but try to complete as many as you can.

RE

This week, we have set you an RE project to design your own religious place of worship. At school we have looked at Christianity and Islam together and we would have continued onto Judaism and Hinduism.

Today, if you can, send your teacher a picture of your final product via the email addresses at the bottom of the post. We’d love to see how you’ve got on 😀

Extra activities

This week is Children’s Book Week so we are going to try and keep all your extra activities book themed. If you had the chance, we hope enjoyed retelling your favourite stories yesterday using your acting skills.

Today is the BookTrust’s Pyjamarama – a fantastic festival to encourage all children to experience the joy and wonder of bedtime stories.

Dress up in your PJs and take part in BookTrust’s online reading festival from home – full of fun story-time activities for the whole family. You can look forward to a day of readings, draw-alongs and quizzes with some of the nation’s  favourite authors and illustrators, all culminating in a bedtime story. So pop on your favourite PJs, onesie or comfy outfit and come along to BookTrust’s online reading festival.

Click here for more information on Pyjamarama.

Don’t forget, if you have anything you want to share and ask please comment below or email your class teacher:
