Good morning everyone,

As we celebrated VE Day last Friday and posted Friday’s work on Monday, we are a day behind. This means that today’s work is Thursday’s work on your timetable. Hope this makes sense! Please find today’s activities below and something extra to keep you busy:

Daily exercise

Make sure you get some exercise in every day. This could be going for a walk, a bike ride, an assault course in your garden or a workout video from YouTube. There are lots of good videos on YouTube, click here for a Fortnite Dance workout.

Maths

Your Power Maths pages today are 129-131 which focuses on tenths. Please make sure you look at the textbook pages below before beginning. This will help with your understanding:

English

Today I would like you to complete the ‘arrive, believe, breath, breathe’ spelling sheets. These are repetitive however they should hopefully get the spelling of the word stuck in your head. Make sure you are spelling the word correctly every time.

Fluency

Complete Arithmetic Test Summer 4.

RHE

This week, your afternoon work will focus on a new RHE topic – Money Matters. Your activity today is to think about your spending prioritises. A priority is something you think is more important than something else e.g. a priority of mine is my mortgage (the money I pay to live in my house) so I would choose paying that over buying a new laptop, even if I really needed one. Complete the ‘My Spending Prioritises’ sheet by writing down or drawing what you (or your family) have spent money on this week and deciding which of these are prioritises and what you might have missed as important.

Extra activities

Lots of people have been taking part in virtual quizzes with their friends via video calling. Purple Mash have an activity called 2Quiz where you can create your own quiz to share with family or friends. Why not create your own quiz and have a quiz night at home with your family and/or save it for me to have a go at in Purple Mash? That would keep me entertained! Before you begin, read the speech bubbles on 2Quiz as they are telling you how to use it.

Purple Mash

Just a reminder…to allow you to keep in touch with your friends, school have set up an emailing service on your purple mash account. If you log on to purple mash > computing > 2Email, you can email your classmates in an easy and safe way. Let your friends know what you have been up to and wait for a reply back.

Don’t forget, if you have anything you want to share and ask please comment below or email your class teacher:
