Class 4 learnt about climate change this afternoon and how it can affect children’s rights. We made a good luck card to Claire Coutinho, Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero ahead of her attendance at COP28 later in the month.

The Mindful Movements team have been visiting school each Wednesday to introduce us to yoga and breathing techniques. We’re already feeling huge physical and emotional benefits.
Class 5 have been learning the names of the main parts of a computer and how to use and navigate laptops in our computing lessons. They concentrated really hard and persevered in order to use the equipment to click, drag and drop pictures into the correct places on their screens.
We conducted an investigation to explain that unsupported objects fall towards the earth because of the force of gravity. We measured the depth and width of craters created by a variety of spherical objects in a flour and cocoa mixture.
On Wednesday, Year 5 visited the Liverpool World Museum and participated in an art workshop in the Walker Art Gallery. The children thoroughly enjoyed looking around the many exhibits, with particular favourites being the Ancient Egyptians and the Aquarium. A fantastic day was had by all!
