Today, Class 7 have been working on the poem: ‘Nature Trail’ by Benjamin Zephaniah, which is about different animals that live in a garden. As this year’s theme is all about refuge, we discussed as a class how the animals in the poem all go into the garden for safety, food and shelter. We then discussed the importance of having a place of safety. This then followed into our main activity where we created a class poem about our safe places in school.
