Good morning Year 6 and welcome to Tuesday’s home learning blog. We hope you have your pack from school and are managing to follow the timetable and lessons.

Here is a reminder of today’s tasks:

Reading book – 15 minutes

English Comprehension Task (The Snow Spider)

Read the text and answer the questions on the back of the worksheet.

Power Maths page 45 – 47 Problem Solving – Position and Direction

These pages of Book C will recap your prior knowledge of position and direction from this year including coordinates and reflection.

Remember to label the x and y axis to help you with coordinates and count the squares from the mirror line to help with reflection.

Afternoon

Arithmetic Test Summer 1 – Try and answer as many questions as you can in 30 minutes.

Then ask an adult to mark your test or you can mark your own using the answers at the back.

RHE – Amazing Me!

Each day this week you will be completing a worksheet to help your well-being and create positive thoughts. We are hoping these activities will inspire you to realise how amazing you are!

Today’s lesson is Turning Negative thoughts into positive thoughts.

 

Other ideas to keep busy:

  •  You could practice your coding skills on Scratch Online. You can create animations, games and stories. You don’t need to sign up to create projects. If you want to save your creations, ask an adult to help you create a free account. Click on the link below.
