Good morning Year 6! Hope you are all staying safe and enjoyed some of the Easter activities. You may have been lucky enough to have an Easter Egg or two during the holidays!

We have created a Home Learning Pack for you with relevant worksheets for each lesson. Here is a reminder of today’s tasks:

Reading book – 15 minutes

English Task (SPAG) – Expanded noun phrase worksheet

Spelling Practice – cious/tious (the warm up section of the worksheet)

Power Maths page 45 – 47 Problem Solving – Place Value

These pages of Book C will recap your prior knowledge of Place Value from the start of the year including comparing numbers, rounding and intervals.

Here’s some more guidance for today’s task:

New Science Topic – Healthy Bodies

Look at the back of your Home Learning Pack for your Science worksheets. Today’s lesson is learning about the disease scurvy. Read the information sheet and answer the questions on the back about James Lind’s clinical trial.

Other ideas to keep busy:

    • Have a look at the Go Noodle website -https://app.gonoodle.com   You can find Dance Along tutorials, workout routines and mindfulness activities.
    •  Create a milkbottle elephant. Ask an adult to cut the top of a milk bottle for you and spaces for the legs. Add any materials or coloured paper you have. Here is an example that some children made in school last week.

We would love to read any comments below to let us know what you’ve done today!

If you have any questions about the work or would like to send us any pictures, please ask an adult to email:

Miss Dytch at class14@harwoodpark.rochdale.sch.uk

Miss McGowan at class13@harwoodpark.rochdale.sch.uk

Keep positive!

From Miss Dytch & Miss McGowan 🙂
