Good Morning! It was lovely to speak to so many of Class 11 yesterday – so glad to hear you’re all ok and getting on with things as best you can. I’m really looking forward to seeing you all back in class some time soon hopefully. In the meantime, here is today’s work for you…

English
This week we have prepared some spelling, punctuation and grammar (SPAG) activities. Please complete ‘SPAG Mat 3’ today. Here is a guide to a lot of SPAG terms you may have forgotten. Having spoken to a number of you yesterday I hope this will now be helpful in assisting you with these grammar tasks.

Maths
Geometry Lesson 3: Measuring with a protractor. For Maths this week you will need to use the protractor provided in your learning pack.
How to use a protractor!

Also don’t forget to use the discover pages – they are there to help you. Do let us know if you’ve any problems with Maths this week.

Reading
Read a book or a magazine that interests you – and please do let us know any books that you can recommend.

Spelling
Keep practicing your spellings for this week:

ambitious
cautious
fictitious
infectious
nutritious
contentious
superstitious
pretentious
anxious
obnoxious

RHE
Our next RHE topic is all about money. This week your task is to design a board game based around buying and selling products. Maybe you could have a discussion with your parents about money; where it comes from; why it is important and what you might need to pay for as an adult. Could you set up a way of earning your own money – maybe helping around the house with extra chores or washing the car?

Look forward to reading your comments!
