Hello and good morning to each and every one of you! Miss Bishop, Mrs Barlow and I all hope you’re ok and doing well. We have our fingers crossed that we will see you all soon. In the meantime, here is a reminder of your work for today from your home learning packs…

Maths
Geometry Lesson 1: Measuring Degrees in Angles. For Maths this week you will need to use the protractor provided in your learning pack. This is the first time you will have used a protractor and so please have a look at the following web page which gives you a bit of guidance on how to use them…
How to use a protractor!

Also don’t forget to use the discover pages – they are there to help you. Do let us know if you’ve any problems with Maths this week.

English
This week we have prepared some spelling, punctuation and grammar (SPAG) activities. Please complete ‘SPAG Mat 1’ today.

Reading
Read a book or a magazine that interests you – and please do let us know any books that you can recommend.

Spelling Practice
Find the definition for the first 5 spellings on your list for this week. These are:
ambitious
contentious
cautious
superstitious
fictitious

I will post definitions on here tomorrow to help you also just in case you’re unable to find them.

RHE
Our next RHE topic is all about money. This week your task is to design a board game based around buying and selling products. Maybe you could have a discussion with your parents about money; where it comes from; why it is important and what you might need to pay for as an adult. Could you set up a way of earning your own money – maybe helping around the house with extra chores or washing the car?

Finally, we would really like to hear from you to see how you’re getting on with he work but more importantly to know you’re all ok. Please comment below. Parents and carers can continue to contact us by email (class11@harwoodpark.rochdale.sch.uk or class12@harwoodpark.rochdale.sch.uk) – thank you to all those parents who have been in touch.

Stay safe,
Mr Stamp & Miss Bishop
