Good Morning Year 1!
Today is a brand new day and we have lots of fun home learning activities planned for you!
Parents – you are able to pick up a new home learning pack from school which will contain your child’s Power Maths book, set English work and other activities for the next two weeks.
Here are your tasks for today:
Morning:
Reading: read your school reading book or a book from home for at least 15 minutes.
Phonics lesson: Read, Write Inc. Daily lessons on Youtube:
- Speed Sounds Set 1 – 9.30 am,
- Speed Sounds Set 2 – 10.00 am
- Speed Sounds Set 3 – 10.30 am
Please pick one lesson for your child to do.
Maths: Power Maths Workbook C pages 15-17.
English: Adding Suffix ‘ed’ activity sheet. Children should complete the worksheet and use question 2 to write their own sentences in their exercise book using the ‘ed’ suffix.
Afternoon:
Maths fluency:
Maths fluency- Number Bonds to 20 Robot Worksheet
Spelling- Use your exercise book and practise spelling the days of the week.
Science- Children should complete the Science Day 4 activities included in the home learning pack.
Additional fun activities to do during the day! Some ideas for fun activities to do after your home learning is complete:
- Make your own bookmark! We know you all are reading lots of books at home- so why not create your own very special bookmark! http://www.playideas.com/25-diy-bookmarks-for-kids/
- Create a diary! Why not make your very own diary about your time away from school and learning from home? This will be fun to read back on when you’re older!
