Year 1 Home Learning Monday 22nd June

Good morning Year 1 and welcome to a new week of home learning.

Here is a reminder of your home learning tasks for today:

Remember to keep active with Joe Wicks’ workout or why not try out some of the movement and mindfulness videos on  GoNoodle to get you ready for the day ahead!

Read Write Inc Lesson and English 

Speed Sounds Set 1 – 9.30 am (GMT) Speed Sounds Set 2 – 10.00 am Speed Sounds Set 3 – 10.30 am  

Complete the first 2 worksheets – Introduce the new sound ‘i_e’ to your child and complete the tasks.  

Starter- Shape hunt – how many different 2D shapes can you find around your house? 

 Task- 3D shape colouring task. Use the 3D shape mat to help.  

Afternoon activities- Geography 

Draw a map of a room in your house or your garden.  Hide something in the room and mark it with an X on your map. Can someone in your house find what you have hidden using your map?  You could even draw a key to represent things on your map.
