Good Morning Year 1.
Happy Friday ! You have completed another week of home learning – well done you!
Parents – you are able to pick up a new home learning pack from school which will contain your child’s Power Maths book, set English work and other activities for the next two weeks.
Here are your tasks for today:
Morning:
Reading: read your school reading book or a book from home for at least 15 minutes.
Phonics lesson: Read, Write Inc. Daily lessons on Youtube:
- Speed Sounds Set 1 – 9.30 am,
- Speed Sounds Set 2 – 10.00 am
- Speed Sounds Set 3 – 10.30 am
Please pick one lesson for your child to do.
Maths: Power Maths Workbook C pages 18-20.
English: Recap on the 5 senses. Stand in your garden or go for a short walk. Can you use your 5 senses to write sentences on what you can see, hear, smell, feel and hear? Use exciting adjectives and super 6 when writing.
Afternoon:
Maths fluency: Number Shape Addition to 20 worksheet
Spelling- High Frequency Words. Parents choose 5/6 HFW to test.
Science- Children should complete the Science Day 5 activities included in the home learning pack.
Optional fun tasks for you to do once your home learning is complete:
- Paper mache crafts ! https://www.hellowonderful.co/post/10-awesome-paper-mache-projects/ you can make lots of exciting things with paper mache. Don’t forget to send us a picture of whatever you decide to make!
- Read your favourite story to a sibling or family member. Why not read to a family member over technology if you’re not living with them?
