In Class 13, we have been looking at light as our Science topic. At the start of our lesson we discussed what colour white light was and we made a prediction, which we would soon be able to verify. As we progressed through the lesson, the children learnt about the spectrum of light  and how a rainbow is formed. Then, using the knowledge we had gained so far, we put it to the test. What if we made a colour wheel containing all the colours of spectrum and spun it really fast? Would it look white?

The children made their wheels and then it was time to get spinning! The children noticed that if you span the wheel fast enough all the colours would blend, creating white. This allowed the children to understand that light is made up of seven different colours, not just white.
