In English, Year 6 have been reading Oliver Twist and exploring the complex character Fagin. We have discussed both his manipulative side as he pressurises the orphans to pickpocket for him. However, he also has a generous side as he cares for the boys. We have compared both the positive and negatives of his character in a balanced argument.
