Harwood Park took part in National Maths week. Each class used real-life experiences to see when Maths is used in every day life and for possible future careers.
Year 6 took part in a Year 6 restaurant scenario. Children chose their favourite meal and calculated how much it would cost. They then had different challenges to calculate including discounted prices, sharing a bill equally and giving a tip. We then finished the activity by eating snacks from the menu including pancakes and chocolate milkshake. Well done Class 14 for your positive mindset in this lesson.
