Fun with Digimaps!

This week in Geography, we have been exploring our local area and the major routes in and out of Heywood. We first looked at the different types of roads such as : A roads and motorways and defined what each of them are. We then looked at some examples in our local area. After this, we headed to Digimaps ( an online resource with a bank of different maps). Using Digimaps allowed us to compare ordnance maps from the 1890s , 1950s and modern day and discuss how they have changed over time.
