Good morning Class 9! It’s Wednesday, which means we’re almost halfway through the week! It also means that today should be singing assembly – I’m missing doing that with all of you, so I’m encouraging you to make some time to sing today. You can choose any song you like, just make sure you sing out, sing up and dance like no-ones watching! I certainly will be!

Here is a reminder of your tasks for today:

  • Daily Exercise: Joe Wicks at 9am or Go Noodle.
  • Daily Reading: at least 15 minutes – please record in your reading record
  • Maths: Power Maths Unit 11, Lesson 4 – Ordering Decimals (Book C pg 15-17). Here’s the Discover & Think Together guidance to help (and if you’re struggling, check out this video)
  • English: Grammar – Compound & Complex Sentences and Conjunctions
  • Spelling: Rainbow write – write the words in different colours
  • Fluency: Times Table Practice
  • RE: Hinduism Project. Think about how you are going to present your research and plan it out. You could:
    • make a poster
    • create a PowerPoint presentation (or if you fancy a challenge – you could use Prezi as an alternative)
    • write a letter from a Hindu child explaining their religion
    • make a fact sheet/fact file
  • Something fun:
    • Pick your favourite fiction book and write a book review. I have provided a template you can print out if you are able. If not, you can use a piece of paper and just organise your book review using the sub-headings on the template.

Don’t forget to leave a comment to let everyone know what you’ve been up to! If you’ve missed any of the home learning, it’s still available on the blog so make sure to go back and catch up (particularly with the Maths or you may be lost).

If you have any questions about the work or want to send me photos or examples of the work you’ve been doing, please ask your parents to email me at class9@harwoodpark.rochdale.sch.uk or you can leave a comment here on the blog.
