Good morning Class 9, I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Today is World Oceans Day – a day to celebrate our oceans and take action to protect them.  There are a range of video presentations on the website https://worldoceanday.school/ for you to take a look at, including rockpool exploration and a tutorial on how to breathe like a dolphin!  And here’s are a couple of ocean-related facts for you…

Here is a reminder of your tasks for today:

  • Daily exercise: Go noodle
  • Reading: At least 20 mins – please record in your reading record
  • Maths: Addition – Four Digits Mixed Regrouping
  • English: Reading Comprehension – Chinese New Year
  • Spelling Practise: Year 3/4 words – choose 10 new words form the sheet and do ‘Look, Cover, Write, Check’ with them.
  • Something fun:
    • Junk Modelling: Raid the recycling bin for items you could use to create a junk model.

Don’t forget to leave a comment to let everyone know what you’ve been up to! If you’ve missed any of the home learning, it’s still available on the blog so make sure to go back and catch up.

If you have any questions about the work or want to send me photos or examples of the work you’ve been doing, please ask your parents to email me at class9@harwoodpark.rochdale.sch.uk or you can leave a comment here on the blog.

Miss French 😀
