Good Morning Class 9. I hope you had a lovely bank holiday weekend and did something to celebrate VE Day.

Here is a reminder of your home learning tasks for today:

  • Daily Exercise: Create your own work out routine – it must last at least 10 minutes.
  • Daily Reading: at least 15 minutes – please record in your reading record.
  • Maths: Power Maths Unit 12, Lesson 5  – Using rounding to estimate money (Book C pg 41-43). Here’s the Discover & Think Together guidance to help.
  • English: Reading Comprehension – Aesop’s Fables.
  • Spelling: Use the internet or dictionary to find the definitions.
  • Fluency:

  • RHE: – All About Me: Complete the All About Me sheet (with pictures).
  • Something fun:
    • Hold Still, a portrait of our nation in 2020. The Duchess of Cambridge and the National Portrait Gallery have launched a photography project, aimed at capturing a snapshot of the UK during the coronavirus crisis. It is completely free and open to all ages and abilities. You can submit images inspired by three themes – Helpers and Heroes, Your New Normal and Acts of Kindness – by 18 June. For more information follow this link www.npg.org.uk/hold-still #HoldStill2020
    • Say the colour of each word!  This involves saying the colour of a word, rather than reading the word itself.

Don’t forget to leave a comment to let everyone know what you’ve been up to! If you’ve missed any of the home learning, it’s still available on the blog so make sure to go back and catch up (particularly with the Maths or you may be lost).

If you have any questions about the work or want to send me photos or examples of the work you’ve been doing, please ask your parents to email me at class9@harwoodpark.rochdale.sch.uk or you can leave a comment here on the blog.

        Have a fantastic day!

        Miss French😀
