Good Morning Class 9!
Another week of home learning almost complete. Well done! Next week is half term so there will be no work posted on the blog. Enjoy the break because another home learning pack will be sent out for the first three weeks of the final term.
Here are your tasks for today:
- Daily Reading: at least 20 minutes – please record in your reading record
- Maths: Power Maths Unit 13, Lesson 5: Problem Solving – Units of time. (Book C – Pg 70-72). Here’s the Discover & Think Together guidance to help.
- English: Reading Comprehension – BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year.
- Fluency:
- Spellings: Put the words into sentences and then check you’ve spelt them correctly.
- Mindfulness: A relaxing activity that helps you to feel calm.
- Something Fun:
- Make a bird feeder. Visit these websites for easy to make bird feeders to encourage wildlife into your garden
- Investigate capacity: Get a collection of containers of different sizes (cups, saucepans, egg cups, bowls, bottles) and estimate how many of the smaller ones it will take to fill a larger one. Try it out and see if your estimate was close. (It might be a good idea to do this outside to avoid a mess!) When you’re done use the water on household plants or in the garden so it doesn’t go to waste.
