Good Morning Class 10 and Happy Thursday!

Fun fact: Did you know?

I hope you’re enjoying your home learning activities so far this week.  Here is a reminder of your home learning tasks for today:

  • Daily Exercise: Create your own work out routine – it must last at least 10  minutes.
  • Daily Reading: at least 15 minutes – please record in your reading record. I have just finished reading ‘After the Fire’ written by Will Hill. Please comment below with suggestions for which book I should read next and why?
  • Maths: Power Maths Unit 13, Lesson 4  –Converting times 2 (Book C pg 67-69). Here’s the Discover & Think Together guidance to help.
  • English: Creative Writing Task 10 – Another World
  • Spelling: Write the spellings out and then put them in alphabetical order.
  • Fluency: Twinkl Test 2b
  • Mindfulness: As with all the other mindfulness activities this week, please select one of your choosing to help you take some time to relax. This could be the colouring I sent home, the yoga poses,  breathing exercises, calming activities,  reading, drawing, listening to an audio book, gardening. Hopefully, you are beginning to find something that works for you!

Something Fun:

  • Computing: Practise your coding with scratch. What can you create? Follow this link, https://scratch.mit.edu/
  • Make a Film. Why not have a go at making a short film using images taken on an iPad or a phone. Use toys and objects from around the house or even modelling clay or play dough and create a Wallace and Gromit style film!

Don’t forget to leave a comment to let everyone know what you’ve been up to! If you’ve missed any of the home learning, it’s still available on the blog so make sure to go back and catch up (particularly with the Maths or you may be lost).

If you have any questions about the work or want to send me photos or examples of the work you’ve been doing, please ask your parents to email me at class10@harwoodpark.rochdale.sch.uk or you can leave a comment here on the blog.

      Miss Reed 😀
