Good Morning Class 10!

A massive thank you to those who have kept in touch. I am missing you all and getting a comment from you or a message from your parents telling me how you’re doing really makes me smile. 🙂

Here is a reminder of your home learning tasks for today:

  • Daily Exercise: Create your own work out routine – it must last at least 10 minutes.
  • Daily Reading: at least 15 minutes – please record in your reading record.
  • Maths: Power Maths Unit 13, Lesson 1  – Units of time (1) (Book C pg 58-60). Here’s the Discover & Think Together guidance to help.
  • English: Reading Comprehension -Harry Drinkwater’s Diary.
  • Spelling: Use the internet or dictionary to find the definitions.
  • Fluency:

  • Mindfulness: – This week, I have decided to focus on Mindfulness. You may do the mindfulness activities I have set in any order. Mindfulness is not prescriptive – do whichever activities you feel will help you find calm. The time we have at the moment is a good opportunity to find an activity you can use in future for calm and quiet time. Mine are definitely walking in the woods or reading! Let us know if you have any tips for us in the comments below. If you’d like to follow the activities I have set on the timetable, choose at least one brain break breathing card, two yoga poses cards and one mindfulness challenge card for today.
  • French: As you may have seen in Miss Calcutt’s blog post, you now have access at home to the website used at school for learning French. Language Angels Home School is accessible with the username: Harwoo1842 and the password: lahome
  • Through the website, you’ll be able to practise your French and learn some new words and phrases through their games and songs.

Don’t forget to leave a comment to let everyone know what you’ve been up to! If you’ve missed any of the home learning, it’s still available on the blog so make sure to go back and catch up (particularly with the Maths or you may be lost).

If you have any questions about the work or want to send me photos or examples of the work you’ve been doing, please ask your parents to email me at class10@harwoodpark.rochdale.sch.uk or you can leave a comment here on the blog.

      Have a fantastic day!

      Miss Reed 😀
