Class 7 made a fantastic effort on Friday with their special writing. The focus was story writing and considering a sequel to our class book ‘Gladiator Boy’. The children got their heads down, focused and produced some great work!

Class 8 had a fantastic World Book Day. We enjoyed sharing our discussing our favourite books and we completed a scavenger hunt for different characters in books. Tell me about your favourite book in the comments.
At last we have two displays of brilliant shadow puppets! These were made by Class 7. It was tremendous fun. Look how they have paper fastener joints to add movement. Some children put on plays to show them off to the rest of the class.
Class 8 have planted some seeds as part of their Science topic about plants. They made predictions about what their plant would look like in one week, two weeks and finally three weeks time. We are looking forward to observing closely to see if our predictions were correct. Share your Read more…
Today in music we used the glockenspiels to improvise using the notes c and d. The children enjoyed making up their own patterns with these two notes.

Today we used the Cuisenaire rods to investigate fractions. Mrs Savage asked us to find out which colour rod would be worth 1/2 if the red rod was a whole. We used our knowledge of equivalent fractions to help us to solve this and many other fraction problems.
