Introducing Data Bases
We learned how yes/no questions are structured and answered. We played simple yes/no games to explore how databases are split. Then, we physically cheated branching databases (binary trees).

Branching Databases
Class 8 have been introduced to databases today. They explored the system by asking yes and no questions to find the answer.

Hour of Code
It was national Hour of Code week and because it was Christmas week, the children completed a ‘Grinch’ themed coding challenge. They had lots of fun completing each challenge, and learnt some new skills which will help them in their Coding lessons next term .
Class 14
Hour of Code
This week Class 11 took on the challenge of the Hour of Code. In class, we created our very own Star Wars game. The children faced lots of different challenges and then were able to create their own game using the ideas they had learnt!
Class 13
Hour of code!
This morning, Class 12 have been exploring ‘Hour of Code’. We have been using code to help catch presents from the Grinch!
