Class 11’s art project continued yesterday, when we started to turn our line drawings of an animal into a bright, creative, abstract version using existing examples as inspiration. During half-term we had an exciting delivery to our mud kitchen. This week we have been busy using our scoooping and pouring physical skills, maths to discuss capacity and imagination to create ‘mud pies’ ‘chocolate pancakes’ and ‘chocolate fudge cakes!’ Yum Yum!
Over half term, the children in Class 4 were asked to research Africa and to produce a piece of homework that showed what they had learned. Take a look at the some of the fantastic things the children brought in this week. Holly and Scarlett even worked collaboratively on theirs!
Class 6 are continuing to learn about shapes and their properties. We have created pictures in the style of Op Art where we have used lines and colours to create the illusion that the 2D shapes are jumping off the page. Which shapes can you see?
Today Class 11 begun the first stage of an art project based around animals of the Amazon rainforest. As part of our topic of ‘Where does food come from?’ We have been thinking about healthy and unhealthy foods. In class 1 we sketched different fruits and then added colour using chalk. The children created some beautiful pineapples, melons, kiwi fruits, oranges and lemons!
