Class 11 today completed a full session of yoga during their PE slot. This was done as a part of our work on mental health throughout the week and focused on our emotional well-being and methods for creating calm.
As a continuation of our Science learning journey (Properties and Changes of Materials) we investigated how heating can form new materials and that these changes are sometimes not reversible. The example we looked at was baking a cake.

Today Valley Group (children from Classes 11 & 12) have taken part in archery, climbing, canoeing and a dungeon challenge.
Here are some pictures from Valley Group’s Day 1 activities at the Robinwood Centre. So far we have enjoyed Piranha Pool, Crate Challenge and Trapeze. Valley Group also won the evening’s group activities!
Class 11 have continued their learning journey exploring states, properties and changes in materials. Yesterday’s lesson involved an investigation into how to reverse the process of changing the state of soluble and insoluble materials.
On Friday, the Harwood Park PTFA Christmas Fair took place. Lots of families attended and there were many great prizes won in the raffle amongst the many stalls of games and activities. Thank you to everyone who attended.

Having won the school attendance award for 3 consecutive weeks, we have been lucky enough to have Rose (the attendance hamster) in our class for those weeks. Tomorrow, Rose will go to a new class. So for now we say goodbye Rose, thanks for keeping us company!
