Class 14 held a talent show this afternoon. There were many performances including singing, dancing, keyboard playing, riddles and PowerPoint shows. Well done to everyone who took part and congratulations to the winners Alice and Emily!
Year 6 were brilliant in their Leavers’ assembly! They shared memories throughout their school years and performed three brilliant songs. They also showed their adventures at Robin Wood and the class teachers and Mrs Davies awarded children with special certificates. Well done everyone!
This half-term in D&T, Year 6 have been planning to cook a party food buffet. In groups, they used their recipes and plans to make cookies, cake, fruit kebabs, pizzas and sandwiches. We then enjoyed a picnic trying all the food in the hall.
For our History topic, Ancient Greece, we looked at the Ancient Games and how they compared to today’s Olympics. We finished our rounders topic this week with a whole class game of rounders. We had the opportunity to show our skills of batting and fielding. Children understood the rules of rounders including the bases, how to catch people out and how to score rounders. Excellent teamwork skills were shown.

In the afternoon on the second day, we went to the lake to take part in canoeing and raft building. Children learnt the skills to travel forwards, backwards and turn in the canoe. They then made a raft as a team and had a race. Most children were also brave Read more…
We had a busy second day at Robin Wood! We started with solving puzzles in the dungeon, teamwork in the crate challenge and then the zip wire. Children showed bravery, cooperation and encouragement for each other. What a brilliant morning!
Class 14 had their first day of activities at Robin Wood today including climbing, night line, archery and trapeze. A few children were brave enough to try the climbing wall blindfolded! We are having so much fun already and showing excellent resilience and team work skills.
