Good morning everyone! I hope you enjoyed your home learning yesterday.
In an exciting new development, David Walliams is going to be reading some of his short stories online at 11am every day. To listen, follow this link. Today’s story is Spoiled Brad from The World’s Worst Children 2.
Here are your tasks for today.
- Daily Reading (at least ten minutes – please record in your reading record)
- Maths: Power Maths Unit 9, Lesson 7 Problem Solving – fractions of quantity (1) (Pg 112-114) Here’s the Discover guidance to help you.
- English: Reading Comprehension – Read the short text ‘A Little Princess’ and answer the questions.
- Spelling: Make a spelling word origami fortune teller.
- Fluency: Times tables on Maths Frame. Can you beat your score from yesterday?
- Geography: Search the internet for (or draw yourself) pictures of your chosen country to add to your project. You could look for the flag, maps, photos of different landmarks/cities, famous people. Save them to your laptop if you are making a digital presentation or print them out to stick on your final project.
- Something fun: Build a den in your bedroom/living room using a clothes dryer and old sheets & blankets. Once it’s finished, curl up inside with some snacks and your favourite book. Have a look at my den below.
